Problem: Our client, a provider of world-class, specialised products to the Australian mining and industrial sectors, desired immediate production commencement.

Solution: In this instance, ASA installed a used robot to initiate production immediately. In a few months, it will be replaced by a brand-new robot. For this automation procedure, parts are presented on a pallet, and a robot transfers the parts to Lang vices, controlling clamping and unclamping with a nut runner on a load/unload fixture. During the current cycle, the robot prepares one of the Lang vices for the next component and then, at the conclusion of the cycle, switches vices in the machine. It is a two-operation machining process, so the robot must also rotate the component from an op1 vice to an op2 vice.
