It’s that time of the week again- Solutions Wednesday!

Problem:

Our client, a specialist in production and general engineering across various fields from Agriculture, Mining, Oil and Gas, Aviation and Prototyping, was suffering from a skills shortage and wanted to increase their production capacity. Their customers were also seeking shorter lead times.

 

 

 

 

Solution:

Our client utilized 3 Okuma CNC machines, which are now tended by 3 of our FANUC robots from the R-2000 Range (of which we installed). The result? Our client mentioned that this has tripled their capacity, to the equivalent of 3 extra 8-hour shifts.
 
They could also run their robots on a ‘lights out’ schedule. Naturally, this greatly increased production volume, significantly lowering lead times and saving significant costs.
