Design, Concepting and Simulation- Offline Programming Capabilities
When it comes to Design Concepting and Simulation, with the use of simulated CAD programs, Automated Solutions Australia (ASA) can determine robot configurations and cycle times BEFORE a robot cell is bought, or put into production. As a result, our clients see the product and the effect on the manufacturing capability of their plant. Furthermore, ROBCAD style facilities allow Automated Solutions Australia (ASA) to mobilise and demobilise from site quickly and more cost effectively for clients. Additionally, cells as programs can be completed from our headquarters in Adelaide, prior to going to site. In turn, this reduces the need for long downtime periods on the equipment.
Design, Concepting and Simulation – Our Offline programming Department specialises in:
Work Cell Modelling
Offline Programming Simulation
Determination of robot configurations
Cycle time
Robot collisions
Robot interference
Communication and setup DCS zones
Recovery programming
Working on many different eras of robot and controller models
Specialise in OEM, line tracing/rail tracking
3D modelling
Model and simulate EOAT (End of Arm Tooling) in the virtual world to visualize any unforeseen issues such as reach, collisions and size.
Reach studies
Offline degrade analysis demonstrating how production may continue during robot repair
Benefits of Offline Programming:
Visualisation of the product, and its effect on the manufacturing capability
Reduction of the need for long downtime periods on the equipment, before a robot cell is bought or put into production.
All programs can be set almost 100% before install begins
Easy modification of programs on the fly
Robcad / ROBOGUIDE Simulation
When the opportunity is identified, Automated Solutions Australia (ASA) can complete a ROBCAD and/or ROBOGUIDE simulation, allowing the customer to visualise the end result of the recommendation. Constraints such as cycle time can be estimated, as well as material usage and other factors critical to the project’s implementation into a production environment.
These can include but not limited to Space requirements, robot reach limitations, hoppers, conveyors, spindles etc.
